Clear Rock Ranch is located right off Highway 290 in Henly, Texas. The gate to CRR is marked by an old Aeromotor Windmill, which also serves as inspiration for our logo!
Once you reach the windmill, you'll recognize our distinctive wavy-grass gate and the beautiful landscaping around the entrance.
The ranch is tucked in the rolling countryside of the Texas Hill Country along Yeager Creek.
We are lucky to have water year-round thanks to Yeager Creek, a number of natural springs, and dams constructed on the property. The lakes offer great fishing for Bass and Catfish.
The various Accommodations at Clear Rock Ranch are built atop a sandstone cliff overlooking Yeager Creek, offering the soothing sound of running water and an occasional view of Wildlife from the porch!
The Elk are known to roam right into camp when the grass is too green to pass up!
The oak trees around the Lodge are lit-up at night, creating the perfect spot for a late-night fire.
You can't see Alaska from this bridge, but you can look down at Yeager Creek and even take some target-practice!
Dirt roads and trails take you throughout the property, and we have mapped out various trails and "loops" for nature-walks, mountain bike rides, and jogging. You just have to be mindful of the wildlife when you're on foot!
CRR has been actively removing the invasive cedar trees that have choked out the natural flora, and as a result we have restored the flowing grasslands and retained the natural live-oak trees.
As a result of the Cedar tree eradication program, we have seen springs and streams emerge that had previously been sucked-up by the overgrowth!
The nearby town of "Dripping Springs, Texas" is named for the limestone cliffs that weep spring-water. The temperature dropped so low one recent winter that the "Dripping Springs" became icicles overnight!
The topography of the Ranch offers many opportunities for sight-seers and bird-watchers in addition to hunters! This swing looks down on two fields that are popular with various animals throughout the year.
The swing lookout is also a great spot for the spectacular sunsets of the Texas Hill Country.
The Western Mesa of the Ranch offers breathtaking sunsets, and we've built a fire-pit there to take advantage of the views year-round.
