Silver K Cafe - This stand-by features hearty home-style cooking and an impressive wine list. Located in Johnson City. Directions.

 

Creek Road Cafe - Located in Dripping Springs, has been ranked the best restaurant in the hill country in recent years. Directions.

 

Rolling in Thyme & Dough - Our fantastic local bakery in Dripping Springs, featuring the best bread in the hill country. Directions.
 

Flores Mexican Restaurant - Good Mexican food just down the road in Dripping Springs. Directions.
 

Hacienda El Charro Mexican Restaurant - A bit of a hole-in-the-wall mexican restaurant in Blanco, and one of our favorites. Directions.

 

Salt Lick BBQ - Located in Driftwood, Texas, Salt Lick is regularly ranked among the best BBQ joints in Texas. Directions.

 

Uptown Blanco Restaurant - Part of the Uptown Blanco Arts & Entertainment complex in the converted downtown, with interesting weekly specials.
 

Local Towns
Johnson City - Birthplace of President Lyndon B. Johnson and now home of the LBJ State Park. A couple of good restaurants and interesting shops. 20 minutes west of Clear Rock Ranch.


Dripping Springs - Between the Ranch and Austin, Dripping is home to a number of restaurants, fast food joints, and box stores.


Blanco - With a beautiful town square centered around the historic Old Blanco County Courthouse, Blanco is home to a couple great restaurants.


Luckenbach - Featured in a number of country songs, this almost-ghost town has been reborn as a country music destination.


Gruene - A small town on the banks of the Guadalupe River that was all but abandoned in 1950, it has been reborn as a tourist destination with river rafting, antique shops, and great live music at Gruene Hall.

 

Fredericksburg - A strong German influence remains in this historic Texas town. Great shops and restaurants.


Wimberley
- Home to the oldest outdoor market in the Texas Hill Country, Wimberly is a great shopping destination just a short drive from the Ranch.

Outdoor Recreation
Get everything you need for any outdoor adventure at Cabela's in Buda, Texas 


Fly-Fishing on the Guadalupe, San Marcos, Llano, and Colorado Rivers can be done through local outfitters such as Hill Country Flyfishers and In The Hills Fishing Excursions.

Pedernales State Park is just a few minutes away from Clear Rock Ranch and features great hiking trails and swimming.
